US MkII Gerber Fighting Knife, 1979 Production

Original era manufacture. Service used example with the serial number 081884 stamped into its ricasso, indicating 1979 manufacture. The blade shows typical age and use but no damage. Minor paint loss from service use to the cast alloy grip and guard. Gerber marked black leather sheath which has been soldier modified for attachment to his equipment. Vintage combat knife showing honest age and wear.
