Soviet Early Cold War Helmet

Original era manufacture. M1940 pattern steel helmet shell modified postwar with the addition of a double yoke leather chinstrap. Inkstamped under the right rear chinstrap loop with a date of 1948r. The exterior shows a rather rough texture darker green paint over the original factory finish. With the addition of a stenciled Red Army Star on its front. Sound, normal age and wear as shown.
