Japanese WWII Enameled Steel Bowl, Battlefield Recovered

Original era manufacture. 6 inch diameter stamped steel food bowl with a blue enameled finish and slightly deeper than our other IJN bowls. no makers marks or anchor on the bottom, however this came from the same lot as our other Japanese Navy bowls. All were recovered from the island of Peleliu in the 1980's. It was told to us by the individual who found it, that the bowls were found in stacks in caves occupied by the Japanese defenders. Scattered damage to the enamel finish, no holes.
