French M1831 Infantry Short Sword, Chatelleraut 1832 (3)

Original era manufacture. Polished steel, diamond sharped gladius blade measuring 19 inches in length. The surface is quite clean with scattered age with around 20 or so shallow nicks in the edge on one side. The tip is quite sharp. Single piece, cast brass ribbed grip. The scabbard stitching is tight and closes to about 1/8 of an inch from the bottom of the guard.
