Mexican Army Officers Sword, German Mfg, Kirschbaum

Original era manufacture. Very similar in style to the German Army M1889 Officers sword. 30 inch straight blade with a nickel finish, double fullers on each side. Nickel finish basket guard with the eagle and snake emblem of Mexico. Fishskin wrapped grip with triple wire binding. At the time of our purchase, this sword came without a scabbard. We had an extra German scabbard of about the right length in stock and we married the two together. The scabbard fits great, blue steel finish, missing one of the throat screws is all.
