Original era manufacture. Common pattern of sword often referred to as a briquet and worn by Infantry by many European countries. This example has a cast brass hilt with a 23 inch polished steel blade. On the ricasso is a date of 1840 and crown proofs with the letters GB below. Light age and wear.
