British WWII Pattern MkII Paratroop Helmet

Sold
$395.00

Description

Original era manufacture. Pattern helmet which was introduced in 1942 and used by the British Airborne units until the 1980's. This example, recently purchased out of an old collection assembled in the 1970's-90's, has been done-up for living history events. It is in a nice large size, at least a European 60 or US 7 5/8 with camo net and scrim. The helmet shell has been repainted with the original darker paint visible on the interior. Proper canvas straping with a central leather chincup. Tan leather sweatband which is without markings, likely replaced at some point is my guess. Canvas supension strap swith a white cotton drawstring and a black rubber pad in the crown.
