Japanese WWII Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Rate, 1942 Pattern

Original era manufacture. Yellow embroidered anchor on a black cotton backing which is sewn to white canvas. Enameled yellow cherry blossom in the center. Shows normal age and wear. General purpose rate worn on all uniforms including the green SNLF. At the time of our purchase, the rate was missing its small yellow blossom. We installed an original example from extras we have in our office in the pre-existing hole.
