Japanese WWII Army Helmet Shell, Original Star

Original era manufacture. A very sound example for restoration featuring original paint, both original rivets and helmet star. The interior of the helmet shows that all three of the split rings are present in addition to portions of the original chinstrap. Several handpainted kanji characters are painted on the inside rim. The exterior of the helmet shows some light surface corrosion with a perfect match to the surface of the star.
