German Pre WWI M1849 Faschinenmesser, Etched Blade, Samuel Hoppe Mfg

Original era manufacture. Walking out example with an extra long, 22 inch polished steel blade. Samuel Hoppe (1827-1885) Beehive logo on the ricasso. There are etched panels on each side of the blade, rather faint now, mostly a floral pattern. Typical spotting and graying to the steel surface with evidence of old cleaned corrosion. No scabbard
