French WWI 1916 Fighting Knife & Scabbard

Original era manufacture. Very clean example with a double edged, dagger type steel blade with a simple crossguard and wooden grip. Sheet steel scabbard with a large steel wire belt loop. This weapon served as the basis of the US M1918 trench knife in WWI.
