Japanese Navy Police Official/Shore Patrol Sword,

Original era manufacture. An unusual example with a Navy anchor on its brass backstrap and scabbard tip. Polished steel blade with a 22.5 inch blade, sharp cutting edge, certainly not a dress sword.The blade is overall very clean with some scattered nicks along its edge, most located near the tip. Black leather wrapped grip with brass twisted wire binding.Steel scabbard with two suspension loops, heavy cleaned corrosion near the throat on one side.
