Description
Stunning and untouched M42 chicken wire helmet. Helmet originated from USA, where I located it more then 10 years ago. The helmet came from a US soldier who brought it back as a souvenir. I sold the helmet back then and bought it back last week to sell on the website. The helmet is a standard Luftwaffe single decal helmet, made by ET, having the correct ET pattern Luftwaffe eagle. The helmets looks to have been camouflaged in red and green colors, but many of that paint has been worn off. An original chicken wire was added on top, shows nice wear and corosion on the helmet. Liner is dry but complete, size marked 56. The top of the helmet shows a grave marker hole, as this helmet probably sat on a field grave before the US soldier took it home as a souvenir. Shell markings ET64 – 1673.
