Turkish Navy Officers Sword, Italian Mfg

Original era manufacture. British influenced sword with an Italian retailers name on the blade spine. 28 inch chrome steel blade with etched panels on each side of the blade, one of which dispalys a Star & Crescent symbol. Gilded brass lionhead hilt with a folding brass guard decorated with a fouled anchor and three stars. Dark brown wooden grip with triple wire binding. Brass mounted black leather scabbard, sound stitching but the upper & lower suspension ring fittings are loose. At some point in time the suspension fittings were reversed on the sword, these need to be reversed for proper display. Sword displays normal age and wear, no damage.
