French 1859 Italian Campaign Medal & Document, 18th Regiment

Original era manufacture. A very nice set consisting of a silver Italian Campaign medal with its original 1859 dated document awarded to Fusilier, Jean-Pierre Joly, 18th Regiment. During the battle of Solferino the 18th Regiment served with the French 5th Corps commanded by Prince Napoleon.
