Description
Original era manufacture. Porcelain bodied, hand decorated exterior with a lithopane bottom. This stein once was the property of Gefreiter Prescher, late of the 2nd Battery, 64 Saxon Field Artillery Regiment and honors his active service from 1909-1911. Pewter top with a cannon finial. The top is a little loose at the point where the pewter wraps around the handle. There are no cracks or chips in the body and the lithopane is sound. On the bottom of the stein there are a few hairline age cracks in its surface. As Saxony formed part of East Germany until 1989, steins from that area tend to be a little less common than Bavarian or Prussian ones.
