Item #65562 : Original era manufacture. A very nice plated steel blade measuring 32 inches in length, running straight and true with no issues. Triple etched blade with decorative panels on each side of the blade, displaying both Franz-Joseph's cypher and the Imperial Austrian eagle. On the spine of the blade is an etched run of laurel leaves, Weyersburg Solingen logo on the ricasso.  Gilded brass, ornately decorated guard, backstrap and pommel with a bright gilt finish. Fishskin wrapped grip bound with single strand brass wireMetal bodied scabbard covered in thin black leather without any breaks or seam separation. Very ornate brass fittings with Franz Joseph's cypher on the scabbard throat.A very clean old sword.
