Personal Items German Pre WWI Regimental Glass Canteen

Item #35755 : Original era manufacture. Leather covered glass body with a hand painted decoration. Owned by a soldier who served in the 70th Regiment from 1886-1889. considerable wear, but no cracks or chips, cap is present. Braided cotton shoulder strap is in poor condition, and is attached to the canteen body only at the bottom point .
