Item #63774 : Original period photography. Hand colored CDV with period notations on the reverse which identifies the soldier. Belfort photographer's name. The Siege of Belfort, 3 November 1870-18 February 1871, was an epic 103 day ordeal which only ended after the signing of the armistice. The heroic French defenders were allowed to exit the city with their weapons and baggage train.
