Insignia Cloth Other Polish Post WWII Veteran Wear, Home Guard Armband, Bullion Eagle

Item #60512 : Original period manufacture. Two piece cotton armband in red and white, with a very nicely embroidered silver eagle on one side. The armband displays honest age and wear, but the threads joining the color sections of cloth fluoresce, as do some of the threads comprising the eagle. The armband cloth does not. The buckram material the eagle is embroidered upon also does not fluoresce. As this piece came out of an old collection, we are presuming it to be something made for perhaps for veteran wear, or, on the other hand, meant to deceive. It really is a well made armband with a nice vintage look to it.
