Civil War-Indian War-SAW US Post Civil War GAR National Encampment, Cincinnati 1898, Souvenir Spoon

Item #60222 : Original period manufacture. A nice quality spoon measuring 6 inches in length. Sold at the 1898 Cincinnati National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic. This looks to be a generic Ohio state souvenir spoon, however the city name and date, and the entire GAR emblem is hand engraved in the bowl of the spoon. That is an incredible amount of effort for such a modest souvenir.
