Helmets Other Russian Imperial Helmet, Crimean War Era

Item #52536 : Original era manufacture. Heavy lacquered leather construction, with the helmet made in two halves. Massive double headed eagle on the front, double headed eagle side buttons and a silver, German style chinstrap. Partial leather liner remains, evidence on the top of a spike or plume with four mounting holes. There are some small holes in the center shield where a St. George & Dragon device once were placed. A very scarce helmet, certainly worthy of restoration.
