Photography Japanese Meiji Period Cased Ambrotype

Item #15107 : Original era photography. Glass ambrotype image measuring 4 x 3 inches. The man is seated with his hands placed in his lap. One eye looks directly at the camera and he is shwon wearing traditional Japanese dress and split toed socks.This is housed in a full balsa wood case and balsa wood mat. There is writing on the outside of the front and back of the case. Meiji Period. There is a Temple stamp on the case as well.
