US WWII USMC M1923 Riflemans Cartridge Belt, Identified

Original period manufacture. A sound condition belt displaying honest service wear and use. Light OD canvas with a matching color connecting strap. Strong colors, faded USMC stencil on the reverse, darkened brass fittings throughout. All of the snaps work, the name F.I.PEDEE is stenciled on all three of the sections. Francis I. Pedee, 1918-1998. Listings for him in Marine Muster Rolls exist on Ancestry, with service from 1940-1945. October 1942, shows him as a Corporal serving withFirst Separate Engineer Company, Brigade Special and Service Troops, Second Marine Brigade, In The Field.
