Medals Japanese Japanese WWII Order of the Golden Kite, 5th Class

Item #66211 : Original era manufacture. Silver, multi-piece construction award with a beautifully enameled obverse. Complete with its original ribbon. This is a very intricate medal to manufacture, with numerous steps in the enameling process, the end result being a very attractive medal, but fragile. There is some minor enamel loss on the obverse, located on the right central horizontal arm, and a some spots of minor cracking and chipping elsewhere. In spite of it's minor flaws, it represents a fairly scarce example of Japan's bravery order, offered in the grade awarded to senior NCO's and Junior Officers.
