- THIS ITEM IS SOLD Published Heer NCO visored cap for a member of Fallschirm-Infanterie-Kompanie, issue quality cap with paper name tag to soldier Rohlfs - Pi.Zg. F.I.B.' (Pionier-Zug/Fallschirm-Infanterie-Batallion), this Zug was commanded by later Eichenlaub recipient Rudolf Witzig, constructed of ribbed trikot wool, with dark green badge cloth wool cap band and white wool piping, with composite visor and black patent leather chinstrap, liner of water resistant oilcoth and is stamped size 54 1/2 under the celluloid sweat diamond, the reverse of the brown leather sweatband is stamped in black ink with maker information and has (presumably) a former owner's named inked in two places, the aluminum insignia is affixed with prongs, cap is quite clean but there is some minor insect damage to the top panel and at the cap's rear, cap is featured in the books Red Shines the Sun by E. Queen and Deutsche Fallschirmjäger Vol. 3 by K. Veltze,
