- THIS ITEM IS SOLD Customs official's Bergmütze in excellent condition, cap body made of issue quality field grey wool having a second backing layer of dark grey wool for added warmth, the quilted black cotton liner is stamped in white ink with maker information, '42 date and size 54, cap has a full tan colored leatherette sweatband, cap's crown is piped in dark green wool and has a single Steinnuss button to the front, the woven flatwire insignia is originally applied by hand, cap is in practically unused condition, sweatband has a bit of wrinkling and a couple of stitches holding the insignia at the eagle's right wing tip have come undone, otherwise there are no flaws,
