HBJ24 Prime and rare Heer Panzer officer's black M43 cap

- THIS ITEM IS SOLD Prime and rare Heer Panzer officer's black M43 cap, privately made purpose built officer model, constructed of back wool with a subtle ribbed texture, lining of grey colored rayon, the top lining panel panel is stamped in black ink size 60, the grey colored side loops are tape with HBT weave, cap has a full brown colored leather sweatband, it is ventilated at the forehead and the leather is a bit abraded in this area, the crown has built in silver metallic piping, the woven T-form Panzer insignia is sewn into the shape of a trapezoid, it is applied in the 'zip and flip' manner, straight machine stitched across the top line of the eagle's wing and then further being straight machine stitched along the lower edges, the insignia is not sewn through the lining, the unpebbled steel buttons were painted black at one time but the finish has mostly worn off, cap was used a good bit, lining is stained, externally cap shows age and wear, trapezoid is age yellowed, there are a few areas of minor insect tracking and there are two small holes to the caps' left front, brim has been folded and there is some waffling to the internal stiffener, desirable cap in a large size and the one and only example of its type we have had that was not an upgraded EM cap,
