- THIS ITEM IS SOLD Exceptional Luftwaffe EM Bergmütze, true issue Bergmütze constructed of early to mid quality blue grey wool and lined in grey colored ribbed cotton, well marked H42, with maker (Kornacker) information in a rectangle and size 58 in italics, cap has a full brown leather sweatband that has a small hole 1cm in diameter at the center forehead, there is one aluminum grommet vent per side with the outer surfaces having blue enamel, the Bergmütze has Luftwaffe specific characteristics - the short bill, the full peak, the single button, smaller size metal pebbled in this case, insignia includes a machine embroidered Luftwaffe national emblem which is zig zag factory applied plus a blue wool backed padded rosette that is hand sewn, cap shows light wear and some age soling, there are no holes, insect or other kinds of damage (excepting the hole in the sweatband noted above), cap has a most attractive appearance and this type is very difficult to find,
