- THIS ITEM IS SOLD Waffen SS officer overseas cap, lovely example of the type issued by the SS Kleiderkasse, constructed of a fine trikot wool, having machine sewn silver piping as an integral part of the cap's construction, and lined in a ribbed greyish cotton, dual woven insignia is period hand applied, marked size 56, body shows light wear with the exception of a snag to the fabric near the skull and some minor insect tracking on the cap's left side, the skull exhibits an area of light staining above the eye sockets, rare and desirable with the classic look for an SS officer, please inquire for additional details or images
