Japanese Hinomaru “Meatball” Flag

Japanese Hinomaru “Meatball” Flag-This is produced in off white silk with a red sun or “Meatball” that is printed producing a mirror image on the reverse. There is age toning to the white and minor discoloration throughout. This silk flag is very fragile. There is Kanji written on the flag, with the date in English of 1946 written in black ink, at the bottom. There are a few spots of damage, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. This flag measures 42 inches long by 36 inches wide (106.68cm x 91.44cm). There are no foil corner reinforcements, thus there is no mechanism for hanging, but this would look great in a large frame.
