Description

Original era manufacture. A sound example with regimental markings on the guard  104.R.I.33.Polished steel blade measuring 18.75 inches in length, with evidence of old service sharpening on the cutting edge. Scattered areas of old cleaned surface corrosion, with surface pitting on the tip.Black leather bodied scabbard with a brass throat and chape, no unit markings on the scabbard throat.  The leather is basically sound, with surface dryness on the sides. There is a 7 mm gap between the top of the scabbard and bottom of the guard.
