Original era manufacture. French M1845 Infantry Officers sword produced in 1872. Polished steel blade measures 30 inches in length, scattered clouding and staining, overall clean. Straight and true, no nicks in the edge. Mellow brass patina guard with a leather wrapped grip bound with single strand wire. Steel patina finish scabbard with a single ring suspension, few small and shallow surface dents.
