US Indian War Identified Cabinet Card, LTC Oskaloosa M. Smith, US Army, San Antonio Texas Photographer

Original period manufacture. Clear image of Oskaloosa.Minnewando Smith in full dress uniform wearing his MOLLUS Medal (badge 04215) on his chest. San Antonio Texas photographers logo on the bottom and reverse. There is a period inscription on the reverse to a Mrs. Garcia from her friend, and signed O.M. Smith US Army. Born in 1845 he died in 1910 and is buried in Indiana. He was brevetted for gallantry in action against hostile Indians at the battle of Spring Creek Montana in 1876.
