US 1885 Pattern Cavalry Carbine Sling & Snap Hook, Rock Island Arsenal

Original era manufacture. Rock Island Arsenal marked, pliable black leather sling with an all steel construction snap hook with a strong securing spring. The steel roller bar of the snap hook also is RIA marked, measuring two inches in width. Most of the black finish remains on the surface of the sling strap, with very clear markings.
