Medals Soviet Soviet WWII Guards Badge, No Fringe

Item #66822 : Original period manufacture. Stamped brass badge measuring 35 x 45 mm with red enameling, showing wear to the center of the star. Note the lack of fringe on the lower edge of the flag, postwar badges have fringe. The reverse shows repair at the base of the screw post, with the original brass securing nut then lost and the owner replaced it with a backing plate from an Order of the Red Star. We've had a number of these prestigious Guards Badges over the years, this one has the most 'soul' of any of them.
