Japanese Pre-WWII Type 30 Bayonet & Scabbard, Tokyo Arsenal, Numbered Tang

Original era manufacture. An early production bayonet which is numbered on the blade tang rather than the pommel as usually seen. Fullered blade, hooked guard, rounded bird head pommel and contoured wood grips. The blade exhibits a dark patina finish, but no real corrosion issues or pitting. Dark steel patina finish to the guard and pommel. Original finish wood grips exhibiting the typical dings and dents from service use. Fairly dent-free steel scabbard exhibiting a mix of blue and steel patina with patches of surface corrosion.
