East German, Cold War Era M56 Steel Helmet, Complete

Original era manufacture. Prototypes of this pattern helmet existed during WWII but never adopted by the Wehrmacht. They were later adopted by the East German Army after 1957. Clean issued helmet, liner is sound with a complete chinstrap. Honest age and wear.
