(Guill)Waffen-SS Winter Camo Double D Helmet, Demjansk Find

This is an outstanding, historic example, reportedly recovered from the northern Russian area vicinity Demjansk/ St. Petersburg (Leningrad). The helmet bears a still discernable Quist pattern runic shield and matching party shield. It hasa fairly high degree of white winter camo paint, plus remIns of feldgrau, black, and reissue finishes– a real catalog of possible wartime finishes, showing continuous use. The wearer of the helmet appears to have met a catastrophic end, based on the side to side shrapnel hole for one. A real piece of SS history, COA accompanies.
