(G.B.) WWII US Tank Helmet w/ Vet Painted Sea Bag

This grouping consists of a US Tanker’s Helmet and Vet Painted Sea Bag. Both items were from a recent clean out in the state of Connecticut. The tanker’s helmet, made by Wilson, features a number “8” in front, and in the rearis has seen fair amount of service as shown. The Sea Bag features “640 Tank Destroyer/Sherwood,” and also includes the iconic Tank Destroyer Logo. The rear shows the veteran name and ASN (army serial number), which will aid in further research. The bag at bottom does show exposure / wear, as this came out of a storage shed and was laying on floor. This lot has a lot of character, as tank helmets rarely have any markings and most encountered tend to be unissued. The sea bag will look great framed, enhancing the display. COA accompanies.
