WWII US Captain Painted Camo Netted Helmet, Netted Liner

Description

Killer US Captain early M1 fixed bale/front seem painted camo netted helmet with netted liner. This helmet was a gem from a decades old collection that has finally surfaced on the market. The helmet features a painted net strapped over the top of helmet that features two white painted Captain’s Bars. Inside the shell shows what looks like a laundry number β€œB-2924” and a chalked name that’s partially legible. The early liner features a netted cover also with remnants of paint finish featuring a set of white painted bars and what appears to be a prior name β€œCarr” that was overpainted in OD green. From my research I was informed the 42n division would sometimes utilize both netted shells and liners. There are some strong clues-names/numbers that may possibly make this a researchable helmet. Regardless, this helmet is a stunner and will make a fine addition to any collection. COA accompanies.
