Vet Provenanced DAK Heer Helmet

This is an outstanding — and very heavily worn example of an Afrika Korps Heer helmet, brought back by an NCO from New South Wales Australia. His service information is attached. The helmet was part of a grouping of items taken and photographed on that day,  sitting on top of that armored vehicle in North africa. You can't get a better provenance for a helmet. The helmet itself is in very salty condition with heavy sunburn to the Finish and have a service use throughout. It's a great and iconic relic of one of the most important theaters of World War II.
