M35 KM Coastal Artillery Helmet-Italy

This is an outstanding M35 KM camouflage helmet which the consigner reports was recovered from Italy. (The Maker, size and heat lot number are obscured by layers of paint, but this helmet is assumed to be a size 66 shell ET manufacture). The helmet strongly shows the type of wear and service abuse that wood correspond with exposure to sea air and other corrosive type conditions. the camouflage is also a striking rubble type design, reminiscent of World War I, due to the dividing strip between the different colors. The interior shows the effects of hard service use with  The liner becoming darkened and somewhat fragile. Overall the helmet is an excellent example, showing the true characteristics of a combat camouflage helmet. COA accompanies.
