Description

Fantastic M35 DD helmet Named/identified/battle damage KIA helmet by ET size 66, batch number 3941. While the Pionier Heer officer (Lt Margiol) who wore this helmet was killed via shot through the heart, the helmet also shows evidence of a bullet strike which would indicate the soldier was likely sprayed by automatic weapons fire. This action took place in Beaumont France the same day French troops were evacuating from Dunkirk. The helmet itself features a feldgrau paint finish with 85-90 percent Adler decal and 95 percent national colors decal. Helmet is complete with original untouched liner with a 1941 chinstrap that was later added. The skirt retains a beautifully written name and unit. An outstanding helmet for any collector. COA accompanies.
