Heer Gebirgsjaeger Officers Visor Cap – Pekuro

This is a great example of a GBJ officers peaked hat. No edelweiss appears to have been ever on it. The hat seller is in mittenwald, which was the area the 98th rgt. had their units. The hat is a Pequro style construction, ie. black wool band around the inside of the hat and color of the sweat band. (The mountain units were not authorized the edelweiss until 1939 so its absence on the cap is not unusual). The cap has age patina and some edge nips to the body and piping. Overall a very nice example, untouched. COA accompanies.
