Description
This is an outstanding service worn SS helmet cover in oak leaf pattern. The cloth is the correct gauge and shows a lot of wear and fading to the spring side, indicating that was worn on the outside most. The autumn side shows less fading, but has an amount of wear nonetheless. The clips are excellent examples, showing actual service wear and the correct peening. The stitching also conforms to World War II examples in length and variance. Overall and excellent example for the SS collection. (This cover is displayed on a size 64 M42 shell). COA accompanies.
