Minty HeerJaeger or Gebirgs NCO Visor Cap

This specimen is a Jaeger or Gebergsjaeger enlisted peaked hat in beautiful condition.  The mountain or jaeger style edelweiss was not authorized until mid-1939, so an earlier cap like this would not have had either. The insignia have not been altered or moved. This bright green shade of waffenfarbe was often the same for both Jaeger and GBJ. There are no markings inside the sweatband, but I did discover two or three event tickets that had been tucked inside. Those appear to be something the soldier himself had done, not some GI or other.  A fine example, COA accompanies.
