Fine Heer Mantel for “Grossdeutschland” Officer

This is an issue mantel, upgraded for use by a second lieutenant (Leutnant) of infantry, bearing unit identification to the premier Heer Infantry Division ,,Grossdeutschland.” This mantel bears the manufacturer code and size markings, dated '41, on a mouse grey cotton lining. The shoulderboards are sewn-in infantry piped, with exquisite examples of the gilt ,GD' ciphers. The classic ,Grossdeutschland' cufftitle on black moleskin adorns the upper right cuff.
