(j.s.)Exceptional DAK / Sudfront LW M40 Sand Camo Helmet

This is an excellent Q64 #DN2x (indistinguishable) Southern Front / Afrika Korps M40 helmet that has been in one collection for decades. In this manner, the helmet is virtually untouched. The specifications are M40 issue throughout, with expected hard service wear to the liner and strap, which remain in great condition, original to the helmet. There is a lot of hot weather patina inside and out, with some sand finish knocked off where small dings occurred. The finish is a thick tan paint mixed with enough sand that it takes on the appearance of a hill of sand. There is a faint ghost of a Luftwaffe Adler on the left side, manifesting itself as a slight shadow to the eye. Overall a stunning piece, complete and untouched. COA accompanies.
