Sharp, Named EF66 Heer M40

This is a great helmet from the old midwest collection. It is a typical EF production helmet, EF66, #33190, with the medium texture schiefergrau finish in a darker grey color. The shield is Heer, but very deeply gold-toned, mainly a function of age patina. The size 59 liner is in fine shape, and bears the name, unit and feldpostnummer (64595) of the Obergefreiter who wore it. A cursory search revealed “Feldpost | Verwendung als: Absenderstempel 8.1.1945 Stab und 1.-4. Kompanie Korps-MG-Bataillon Ohleichte”. The strap is original to the helmet as well, and bears an RBnr. Overall a large size, complete and great looking Wehrmacht helmet. COA accompanies.
